Work based learning offered at Career and Technical Center

The Career and Technical Center at the Delta Schoolcraft ISD is working hard to help students explore careers for their lives after high school. One of the most beneficial options is through a program called Work Based Learning. Work Based Learning is when students who show proficiency in their CTE content area are paired with an employer in a similar industry as their CTE programming to work during class time to learn more advanced skills than what might be taught in the CTE program. Because CTE offers such a robust curriculum, certain OSHA hazardous occupation limitations for youth are waived to allow them to learn as much as possible in a supervised setting.

Currently, students are placed at the following sites either on paid or unpaid experiences:
