Dave Schaetz recognized by The Daily Reporter with lifetime achievement award
Neenah, Wis.—Dave Schaetz, director of conceptual estimating for Miron Construction Co., Inc., was recently chosen for a lifetime achievement award by The Daily Reporter as part of its 2013 Newsmakers of the Year awards program.
For more than 17 years, Dave has run the conceptual estimating department and overseen and mentored employees. He has helped Miron become a premier design-builder and construction manager, and is a big reason why Miron leads the industry in conceptual estimating. On average, Miron’s conceptual estimating department estimates $2 billion of work annually.
“Dave exemplifies what any employer desires in an employee: great aptitude and professionalism in every facet of his work, and the ability to be a real team player with all members of a project team, both internally and externally,” said Tim Kippenhan, vice president and COO of Miron. “He understands that balance is necessary in leading a full life and shares his philosophy with everyone he comes in contact with, always leading by example.
Each year The Daily Reporter selects individuals and organizations for their outstanding achievements in the construction industry as well as their impact on the building community. A special awards magazine will feature profiles and reasons for recognition. Schaetz will join his fellow winners at the Oct. 30 awards presentation at the Grain Exchange, 225 E. Michigan St. in Milwaukee. To view the entire list of the 2013 Newsmakers of the Year award recipients, click here.
