Miron Construction begins work on Iowa City High School

Miron Construction Co., Inc., in partnership with BLDD Architects, Select Structural Engineering, and Shive-Hattery Architecture and Engineering, recently began work on additions and renovations to the Iowa City High School.
The project will include both an addition and renovations to the existing 297,462-square-foot building. The 61,427-square-foot addition consists of an outdoor plaza, competition gymnasium, wrestling room, locker rooms, concession stand, commons area, kitchen and serving area, bathrooms, and accessory spaces.
Renovations consist of mechanical system upgrades, sprinkler system expansion, LED lighting upgrades, bathroom accessibility upgrades, and casework.
The project is scheduled to be completed August 1, 2021.
