Miron Construction begins work on UW-Eau Claire Towers Hall renovation
Miron Construction Co., Inc., in partnership with Eppstein Uhen Architects, began renovations to Towers Hall at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire (UWEC). Work on the $27.9 million project is expected to be complete in June 2019.
Miron’s work on this project includes renovating common areas and bathrooms on each floor of the two towers, programmatic areas on the first floor and the basement, as well as refurbishing existing elevators in the building. In addition, all heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and information technology systems will be brought up to current standards.
The scope of work on the project also includes a 3,400-square-foot addition at the lower level and first floor to provide better entry and security functionality and improve access to the lower level.
The building’s two towers currently house more than 1,300 students.
