Miron Construction Co., Inc. exceeds United Way campaign goal for third consecutive year
Neenah, Wis. – For the third year in a row, Miron Construction Co., Inc. has surpassed its United Way combined corporate and employee campaign goal. Miron’s generous employees far exceeded expectations and the organization raised more than $81,000, a 33 percent increase from last year.
“Miron has shown time and time again what an integral part of this community it is,” Tim Bergstrom, United Way Fox Cities Workforce Campaign 2014 co-chair, said. “The company consistently carries out initiatives that give back to local non-profits and members of the community, whether it’s giving time, talents or funds.”
The campaign, which ran from Sept. 12 through Sept. 26, saw participation increases in all categories over past years. Fifteen individuals pledged as Leadership Givers, donating more than $1,000, and 28 employees pledged as Emerging Leaders and/or Silver & Gold Community Givers, donating more than $500. In addition, 48 employees donated as Generous Givers, pledging one hour of pay per month.
“Miron is very proud to be a part of the Fox Valley community, and giving back to our neighbors in need is a natural fit with the mission of our company,” said David G. Voss, Jr., president & CEO of Miron. “Having employees who are motivated to better the place we call home is inspiring and deeply gratifying.”
