Miron Construction Co., Inc. is pleased to announce the recent hire of a project superintendent, a hard bid estimator, a technology support specialist, and an industrial administrative assistant for its corporate headquarters, as well as a project manager who will be working out of Upper Michigan.
Regina Johnson will be serving as a project manager for Miron in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Regina graduated from Michigan Technological University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management. Regina previously served as a project coordinator at R.W. Mercer Co. (Jackson, Michigan) and an office coordinator for Robert E. Johnson Contracting, Inc. (Lake Linden, Michigan). As project manager, Regina will use her five years of experience in the construction industry to manage all aspects of construction projects, including, but not limited to, preliminary estimates, budgets, financial control, scheduling, coordination of construction activity, project close-out and owner occupancy.
Dean Hidde has been hired to serve as a project superintendent for Miron. Dean previously held the position of vice president for a design-build general contractor located in Greenville, Wisconsin. As a project superintendent, Dean will use his 34 years of experience in the construction industry to work with project managers and construction teams to manage all phases of construction activity. He will direct all field personnel and coordinate all subcontractor activities while adhering to the construction schedule. First and foremost, he will maintain a risk-free work environment to ensure the safety of all who access the site. Dean is OSHA 10 certified and has undergone AGC supervisory training.
Nathan Helms is Miron’s newest hard bid estimator. Nathan is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Platteville and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. Nathan has a year of experience in the construction industry, serving as a field engineer for TIC – The Industrial Company (Englewood, CO) and a field engineer assistant for McMahon Associates, Inc. (Neenah, WI). In his new position, Nathan will prepare and submit bids on a wide range of projects in numerous markets.
Seth Sorenson was recently hired on fulltime by Miron to serve as a technology support specialist after working as an intern for the company for the past year. Seth is a graduate of Fox Valley Technical College and holds an IT – Network Specialist Associate’s Degree. As a technology support specialist, Seth will be responsible for providing help desk service, system documentation maintenance and computer setup.
Erin Severson has been hired to serve as an industrial administrative assistant. Erin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Finance from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh and was previously employed by Lakeview Credit Union as a business services specialist in the commercial lending division. In her new role, Erin will work alongside the vice president of industrial operations to provide advanced administrative support and office management for Miron’s industrial division.
