Neenah, Wis. – Miron Construction Co., Inc. is pleased to announce it has been named to the Top 100 Green Building Contractors list by ENR (Engineering News-Record), one of the construction industry’s top-rated online and print publications. In addition to making the magazine’s shortlist, Miron also has the distinction of being the only Wisconsin-based company of the 100 selected businesses.
Contractors are encouraged to enter the running for the Top 100 by taking the ENR Green Building survey, which is used to rank contractors and design firms based on their design work on projects registered with, and seeking certification from, national or international third-party green organizations.
“Sustainability is one of Miron’s key drivers,” said Theresa Lehman, LEED Fellow, LEED AP-BD+C, ID+C, director of sustainable services at Miron. “It is an honor to be recognized for our efforts by one of the most respected publications in the construction industry. To be the only company in Wisconsin on the list is gratifying. We are passionate about sustainability and emphasize the importance of education with our team of credentialed LEED professionals. We are able to experience the triple bottom line benefits that result from our own Gold LEED certified building. Helping our clients build green and obtain LEED certification on their facilities is important to us. It’s very rewarding to know that we make a difference in enhancing the health and well-being of people, such as the staff and students of Lake Mills Elementary School, which is currently piloting the LEED v4 Beta Program. We’re extremely proud of our sustainable initiatives internally as well as throughout the communities in which we live, work and play. It’s humbling to be recognized nationally along with the ‘big’ contractors.”
ENR published its Top 100 Green Contractors list in its September 16 issue. To learn more about Miron’s work in green initiatives, visit miron-construction.com/
