Miron Construction earns two United Way Fox Cities awards for employee giving
Neenah, Wis. — On Tuesday, Feb. 3, Miron Construction Co., Inc. was recognized with two awards celebrating the generosity of its employees for their efforts in giving back to the community at the United Way Fox Cities 2014 Campaign Celebration. For the third year in a row, Miron passed its campaign goal, and in the process raised more than $81,000 for United Way Fox Cities.
Miron received the Employee Campaign Award in the medium organization (151-499 workers) category for its 34 percent growth in overall giving that included an 18 percent increase in participation. That increase earned the company the Kimberly-Clark Corporate Challenge Award, which is presented to the company with the greatest increase in employee participation.
“Miron employees are dedicated and motivated to making our home in the Fox Valley a better place,” said David G. Voss, Jr., president & CEO of Miron. “Whether it’s time, talents or funds, giving back to our local non-profits and our neighbors in need is a natural fit with the mission of our company. It’s something we’re proud of as a local employer and as residents of this community.”
The fundraising efforts of Miron and other participants resulted in the United Way Fox Cities reaching its 2014 campaign goal of $8.1 million, the most it has ever raised. The money will help fund programs that are estimated to impact 1 in 3 people in the Fox Cities.
