Miron Construction exceeds United Way campaign goal
Neenah, Wis.—Miron Construction Co., Inc. recently surpassed its 2013 United Way combined corporate and employee campaign goal: to raise $50,000 to donate to the United Way. Miron’s generous employees far exceeded expectations; the organization raised $61,000, a 66 percent increase from last year.
Tim Bergstrom, United Way Fox Cities Workforce Campaign 2013 co-chair, noted, “Miron and their employees truly are a part of this community. They continue to be involved and give back. Miron’s United Way campaign success shows their true belief in making our world a better place.”
The campaign, which ran from Aug. 23rd through Sept. 6th, had an employee participation rate of 65 percent. Seven individuals pledged as Leadership Givers, donating more than $1,000 while 23 employees pledged as Emerging Leaders, donating more than $500. In addition, 36 employees donated as Generous Givers, pledging one hour of pay per month.
“Miron is proud to play an active role in the communities in which we build by contributing to projects that make them wonderful places in which to live, work and play, but we also encourage all of our employees to get involved in their communities, assist their neighbors in need, and better the world in which they live,” stated David G. Voss, Jr., president & CEO of Miron. “We feel so blessed to have a workforce that cares as deeply as our does for the community.”
