Miron Construction Co., Inc. recently hired Laura Smith as a virtual construction specialist in its Wausau office. In this position, she will be responsible for providing assistance to the construction services team including facilitating 3D coordination, modeling content, and assembling 3D content modeled by others. She provides model management of clash detection and conflict identification and resolution, as well as assists the marketing and business development team with related materials for presentations. Laura earned an Associate of Science degree in architectural and residential design from Northcentral Technical College. She comes to Miron with eight years of design, modeling and BIM experience. She was previously self-employed as an architectural designer and BIM specialist, and prior to that worked for Kolbe Windows and Doors as a BIM/CAD coordinator.
