Miron Construction honored with prestigious sustainability awards
Neenah, Wis. – On Friday, November 11th, Miron Construction Co., Inc. hosted a Green & Gold Award Ceremony during which they were presented with multiple sustainability awards pertaining to the green building industry and corporate environmental leadership. Miron is the first company in Wisconsin to receive all five awards.
Miron was honored with the following awards: Corporate Report Wisconsin – 2011 Corporate Citizenship Environmental Award, the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council – Green Masters Award, and acceptance into the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource’s Green Tier program. They were also presented with two awards specifically for their sustainable efforts in the construction/remodeling of their corporate headquarters in Neenah: SE2Special Citation Award from the Wisconsin Green Building Alliance and LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
Representatives from Cool Choices, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Wisconsin Green Building Alliance (WGBA) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) were on hand to present the awards.
