Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a member of the Miron team? Below is some insight into what makes our team members tick.

Kyle Pieters | Burlington, Wisconsin

What is a typical day at Miron Construction like for you?
The typical day usually starts with grabbing a cup of coffee and reading through emails. After that I either head to the job site for meetings or I start working through other items on my to-do list for each project.

What is the best part of your day?
The best part of my day is driving home when I get to unwind from the work day.

What is the most challenging part of your day?
The most challenging thing I do every day is probably getting myself to the gym to work out.

What is one thing you wish you knew when you started your career as a project manager?
I wish I knew how to read Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

What projects are you most proud of? Why?
I don’t have too many projects under my belt yet, but I am proud of the Monroe Waste Water Treatment plant because it was my first complete project. I am proud of how our team performed and the quality of the project.

On average, how many job sites do you visit per day?
One.

Where do you see the industry going in the future? What will it look like in the next 20 years?
I believe the construction industry is heading toward more and more BIM models and more technology in the field. I also believe safety on a job site will continue to increase dramatically as there are more advances in the safety equipment we use.

How do you spend your free time?
I spend most of my free time working on projects at home. I also spend a lot of time on the lake or out in the yard.

Favre, Rodgers or other?
I don’t have a preference.

What is one thing you cannot live without?
Food.
