Building Excellence in Madison
If you find yourself driving down East Washington Street in Madison, you can’t help but notice all the cranes and new construction lining the street. One of the projects currently underway in this ever-developing area is the Gebhardt Building, which will soon be home to Miron Construction’s Madison office. It will also house the Sylvee, a 2,500-person music venue that is sure to make the Madison entertainment scene even more exciting.
Miron has had a presence in the Madison market for decades and opened a regional office there in 2004. We are proud to have worked on many great, and even iconic, buildings throughout the region. One of these notable projects is the University of Wisconsin Memorial Union Redevelopment & Alumni Park, which won the InBusiness Project of the Year in 2018. It’s a space that every good Badger student and alumnus knows and loves. In addition to the in-progress UW-Madison Nicholas Recreation Center, the Dejope Residence Hall & Food Service Facility, School of Business remodel, and recently awarded Chemistry Building expansion and renovation project showcase Miron’s work on campus. Our higher education experience extends to the Madison College Goodman South Campus Building—a fantastic project that brings new educational opportunities to fruition for a diverse group of citizens in the south side of Madison. We are committed to continually building strong relationships with such important educational pillars in the community.
Beyond construction, Miron is fully engaged in the community. We are proud sponsors of United Way and work with many local organizations, including the Literacy Network and Salvation Army. We also recently brought our Build Like a Girl event to Madison. This half-day event gives 7th-10th grade girls the opportunity to try their hand at the trades, including carpentry, masonry, and operating, while learning from women in the field.
We are truly dedicated to the Madison area, fulfilling dreams through the built environment as well as community engagement. We are thrilled to be moving into the heart of the city and look forward to building excellence for many years to come.
