Building Futures with Local Students

Posted by Miron Construction

Team Miron has been busy building legacies with our local schools this past semester!

Students are the future of our communities and our workforce, and Miron sees immense value in doing what we can to help set them up for success. We do this by sharing our knowledge with students and school staff through hands-on experiences and presentations.

Members of Team Miron shared their knowledge with 5,915 students in just a few short months through 34 construction careers events! These students, from 90 schools throughout Wisconsin, Michigan, and Iowa, learned about several different trades and career paths within construction – 14 to be exact! They explored career opportunities like building walls with masons, viewing virtual models with virtual construction, operating cranes with heavy equipment operators, utilizing tools with laborers, and gaining insight from marketers.

The instruction didn’t stop with the students. Team Miron educated 506 teachers and district staff about construction careers and how they can help their students succeed in pursuing them. These teachers and district staff participated in project site tours and in-depth presentations about the skills used in construction and the many career paths they can take in the industry.

To the 61 members of Team Miron who shared their expertise, talent, and passion, thank you for building legacies with local students!

To the districts, teachers, and counselors who did their part to bring these educational experiences to fruition and expand career opportunities for their students, thank you!

To all the students that participated in our events, toured our project sites, or asked insightful questions, we are thankful for you!
