Downtown Appleton Flag Day Parade
June 8
Downtown Appleton (Oneida Street, Wisconsin Avenue, State Street and College Avenue)
Begins at 2 p.m.
We hope you can make it out to the largest Flag Day Parade in the United States! Celebrate our country on Saturday with music, floats and other displays. The parade travels through downtown. Looking for more information? Contact Greg Otis by emailing [email protected]
Relay for Life
June 14 – 15
Neenah High School (map)
June 14 (Friday) beginning at 6 p.m.
Ends June 15 (Saturday) at 6 a.m.
The theme for this year’s Relay for Life of Neenah/Menasha is ‘Teaming Up For A Cure.’ Gather your friends, family members or coworkers and spend 12 hours together sharing stories, laughs and raising money for the fight against cancer. The goal is to have at least one team member walking or running the track at all times, but of course, there will be times spent listening to music and participating in other activities. Light Up the Fox Riverfront Bike Ride

Start at the Paper Discovery Center (map)
6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Grab your bike helmet, your family members and your friends, and come on out for this free, six-mile guided bike ride, led by Fox Cities Cycling Association. The ride will be at a leisurely pace so you can enjoy the historic sites along the Fox River. Be sure to decorate your bike to be considered for the decoration contest. Complimentary refreshments will be served, and there is a planned stop at the Hearthstone Historic House Museum. Everyone is welcome! Register by emailing [email protected]
Parade of Lights
July 3
Begins at Riverside Park (map)
Ends in downtown Menasha
9:15 p.m. start time
Looking to help light up the city? Join in on the Parade of Lights this July. The theme is ‘Patriotism on Parade.’ There is no entry fee to join, and floats and marching groups are welcome. All units should be lit (glow sticks and glow jewelry work great for marchers), as the street lights will be off throughout the duration of the parade. Music is encouraged! Your entry will be judged in one of these four categories: best of show, best live music, best float and best marching unit. You could win up to $200! Be sure to register by June 14.
Community Fest
July 4
Riverside Park (map)
8 a.m. – fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.
Head on out to Community Fest – a summer celebration that will provide fun and games the entire family can enjoy. The day kicks off with a YMCA Liberty Run. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the race starts at 8:45 a.m. Following the run, fill your stomach at the pancake breakfast! Events and activities throughout the day include live entertainment, rides, carnival games, a performance by the Webfooters, a performance by the Neenah Idol, festival fireworks and more.
