Get to know our Wausau office!

Wausau office
Our Wausau office opened in 1993 and was initially located in the US Bank building, formerly Firstar, on Fifth Street until we moved to a new office located on Third Street in 1998. In 2007 we moved our office to the third and fourth floors of the newly-completed Dudley Tower—the tallest building in Central Wisconsin—which we constructed. We are happy to be approaching our 20 year anniversary!
Here’s a bit more about our team, some projects we’ve worked on, what sets us apart from Miron Construction’s other offices and why we love working in this great city:

What is one local non-profit organization you’re passionate about giving back to?
We have a strong commitment to serving our community and supporting local non-profit agencies including, but not limited to, The Women’s Community, The Boys & Girls Club and The United Way. Giving back to our community is something our office is truly passionate about and we continually seek new ways in which we can increase our presence in our outreach efforts.
Why is it fun working in this city?
Most people will tell you that they enjoy working in Wausau because of its small town feel and hospitality coupled with the attractions that you would expect to find in a larger city. For nearly a decade, there has been an ongoing commitment to the revitalization of the downtown Wausau area, and with upcoming projects it is truly exciting to have a birds-eye-view as this process unfolds. These efforts have made Wausau a city that is bursting with culture, fine dining and year-round events that provide entertainment for people of all ages. Just looking out of our windows, we can see all the work that Miron has done to help with this revitalization: ArtsBlock, The 400 Block, Eye Clinic of Wisconsin and Dudley Tower.
We are also fortunate to work in downtown Wausau and are reminded daily of all that the city has to offer. It is refreshing to be just a few steps away from the River Edge Trail for a stroll over lunch, or perhaps instead, meet a friend or colleague for lunch at one of the many dining options available, again, all within walking distance. Wausau has so much to explore from unique shops, boutiques, restaurants, festivals and outdoor events to a flourishing arts community that serve to offer countless options for fun on any given day, night and best of all, even over our lunch hour!
What sets the Wausau office apart from the other Miron locations?
Unlike other Miron offices, Wausau is centrally located; this means we do not have to travel far to enjoy, for example, the beautiful lakes in Minocqua, Wis. on a hot summer day or hit the slopes of Granite Peak in Rib Mountain, Wis. when the snow starts to fall and winter settles in. We are just a few hours from major metropolitan areas, such as Minneapolis, where we can shop until we drop at the Mall of America or take in a game at Target Field. What truly sets our office apart from other Miron offices is simple: our central location allows us to enjoy all that Wausau has to offer year round while also making it possible for us to explore more of our home and neighboring states, without having to spend long hours traveling to reach the destination. Wausau is a truly fun city to work, live and play in and our location allows for us to easily and more quickly discover new places to enjoy.
The Wausau office is fortunate to be located in the heart of the Midwest where individuals possess a strong work ethic, enabling us to get jobs done quickly and with the utmost quality.
