Miron Construction Assists with Habitat for Humanity 2013 Business Leaders Build
Habitat for Humanity’s 2013 Business Leaders Build is part of Fox Cities Habitat for Humanity’s 20th anniversary celebration. Twenty local business leaders are providing financial and volunteer support to build two homes for families in need in our community (one in Appleton and one in Menasha). Each family invests hundreds of hours of sweat equity, working alongside Habitat volunteers to build their home, other Habitat homes, serve in their community and complete more than 55 hours of education per adult. They work extremely hard to become homeowners and will pay a mortgage, property taxes and insurance on their homes. Volunteer labor and financial gifts make their homes affordable.
Eight members of Miron’s team recently participated in the build. Habitat’s House Supervisor, Rod Voland, had this to say about working with the Miron volunteers: “I’ve been very impressed with this group. They are extremely experienced in construction but have listened and adapted to our Habitat build methods and they’ve been great with our homeowners and other volunteers. They have just gone gang-busters on building the walls of this home! We have really appreciated having them as part of this build and would love to work with them again anytime in the future.”
Thank you to Brian Kern, Adam Bruss, Jason Hardy, Brian Pendergas, Rich Schisel, Mike Simon, Jeremy Smith, Ian Stoehrs and Dilburt Woefil for all of your hard work!
