Miron Construction to Exhibit at 2018 Wisconsin State Education Convention
It’s show time!
The 2018 Wisconsin State Education Convention kicks off on Tuesday, January 16 at the Wisconsin Center in downtown Milwaukee, and Miron is proud to be a part of this special event. As the state’s largest educational construction firm, Miron regularly exhibits, attends, and presents at the conference to gain and share knowledge about Wisconsin’s public schools.
Don’t miss our dynamic break-out session with the Florence County School District, “From Dissolution to Resurrection,” on Wednesday, January 17 at 3:30 p.m. in WI Center/101CD. Miron Education Specialist Megan Prestebak and Executive Director of Florence County Economic Development Wendy Gehlhoff will share this district’s story of re-building public trust after nearly dissolving in 2005, then re-engaging with their community to successfully pass a facilities referendum in 2016.
Miron is committed to sustainability practices in construction, and we support schools in bringing environmental education to the classroom. New to our booth this year is Fork Farms, an innovative indoor agriculture business founded by Alex Tyink in Menasha, Wisconsin. Learn about the Fork Farms grow machine for schools, which gives students the opportunity to observe the growing process up close and learn where food comes from. Ask us about our lesson plans to help teachers and students understand how hydroponic machines work and how to grow a variety of delicious crops.
The conference runs from Tuesday, Jan. 16 through Friday, Jan. 19 at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee. Exhibit Hall hours are Wednesday, Jan. 17 – 9 am to 4:30 pm and Thursday, Jan. 18 – 9 am to 2 pm. Come see us at Booth 512!
