Miron to exhibit at 2018 AIA Iowa convention
The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Iowa annual convention takes place on Sept. 20-21 in Des Moines. Miron is proud to be exhibiting at this year’s convention that focuses on “Movement – the change in adapting to the environment, economy, and society around us.”
Miron employees collaborate on projects with architects and designers every day, and what results is more than just a building. Together, we reach beyond construction to understand client stories and needs and translate them into the built environment.
The University of Iowa Visual Arts Building is a great example of successful collaboration between architect and contractor. Miron worked hand-in-hand with Steven Holl Architects to create a design that brings natural light into spaces throughout the four-plus story structure. This project has won several design and excellence awards in the industry and continues to impress the UI campus community and beyond.
The convention runs from Thursday, Sept. 20 through Friday, Sept. 21 at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, IA. Exhibit hall hours are Thursday from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Friday from 7:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Come see us at booth 117!
