Planting the seed at Shattuck Middle School
Miron Construction was recently involved in a project helping to build raised garden beds at Shattuck Middle School in Neenah. We donated materials and our time and expertise to help the school create a space in which to grow vegetables on site, reconnect students with nature, use the yard as a classroom and teach them important gardening and agriculture concepts.
“It has been a pleasure to work with Miron Construction on our school garden project,” said Kyle Popp of Neenah Joint School District. “Our students have greatly benefited from the knowledge and insight of Chad Pingel [Miron’s sustainable services manager], who has worked with our students on the garden from start to finish. I am extremely thankful for the time, material and the experience that Miron has provided to the students of the Velocity Academy and Shattuck Middle School.”
Below are just a couple photos from building day. We look forward to watching Shattuck’s gardens grow and flourish!
