‘Bittersweet’: FVHO rings bells for cancer patients as ThedaCare acquisition looms
When the bell rings, a patient has finished chemotherapy or radiation treatment. Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology brought physicians, nurses and patients together in Appleton on Wednesday to ring bells in honor of cancer survivors and others affected by the disease. The annual gathering has happened twice before, but this year was different. In April, ThedaCare announced a plan to acquire FVHO by June 4. Miron Construction built the clinic’s facility in Appleton and installed the large bell outside the front door. Miron Construction President David Voss, who also spoke at the event, assured the crowd that the bell could be moved if needed after the acquisition by ThedaCare. Read more…
