Groundbreaking for New Baird Elementary School

The Green Bay Area School District is celebrating the construction of the first new school in 20 years. Today, Baird Elementary students and staff, along with Green Bay Area Public School District, Miron Construction and Bray Architects broke ground for the new Baird Elementary School. The new school is thanks to a 2017 referendum. It will offer larger classrooms with more workable space, keep kids in the area, and bring families to the community. The cost of the school will be $26 million and will accommodate 600 students in 4K through 5th grade. They will be moving into their new facility for the 2019-2020 school year. Watch the news story…
