Question, persuade and refer: how QPR can help prevent suicide
A group of about a hundred volunteers have taught thousands of people in Outagamie, Calumet and Winnebago counties a technique meant to help prevent suicide. The technique is called QPR, which stands for Question, Persuade and Refer. The instructors got together Tuesday at Miron Construction, this time to celebrate: they set a goal in 2010 to train 10,000 people in QPR by 2020; they achieved their goal in January 2018, about two years early.
