Titletown’s park celebrates grand opening
Titletown’s park, part of the Titletown complex adjacent to Lambeau Field, opened for activities today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and public event introducing community members and visitors to the variety of activities available each day at Titletown. “We’re excited to open the park today and see the project get to this point after years of working and envisioning it,” said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. “We’re looking forward to this area becoming an excellent asset for the community.”
The multi-acre park features a plaza, activity area, playground and sports field, with year-round, diverse programming including fitness-related activities, cultural opportunities, festive gameday action and versatile space for a variety of uses. The playground features dynamic equipment with a Play 60 theme in a setting and configuration that is unique to the community. Its sports field, sized as a regulation football field, has an artificial surface created with infill from Nike Grind, created from recycled Nike shoes. The park will also include a winter tubing hill and skating rink and trail, which will open later this year.
