Miron Construction awarded top safety award for Oshkosh Corporation Global Headquarters project
Miron Construction Co., Inc. recently received the Top Safety Award from Engineering News Record (ENR) Midwest for its work on Oshkosh Corporation Global Headquarters.
ENR Midwest‘s judges carefully curated a list of 112 high-quality entries and returned just 32 winning entries for this year’s list.
In understanding just how important safety and environmental excellence was to Oshkosh Corporation and to Miron, the entire project team drew a laser focus on risk management during all preplanning and construction phases to ensure losses were identified, minimized and managed to promote a culture of Safety, Quality and Production. This culture of SQP has been the cornerstone of Miron’s business activities for many years, and this project was an opportunity to really showcase its growth.
The four-story global headquarters for Oshkosh Corporation brings together employees from various locations under one roof and infuses the organization’s “people first” culture. The space integrates people, technology, and place, ultimately allowing for improved collaboration, rejuvenation, focus, socialization, and learning. Unique components of the building include an innovation studio, conference center, fitness and healthy lifestyle center, recharge spaces, outdoor patios and garden spaces, walking trails, and a dining area. Miron, in partnership with Performa Inc., completed the project in September 2019.
The winners will be featured in-depth in the November edition of ENR Midwest. For a full list of winners, visit www.enr.com/midwest.
