Miron Construction Co., Inc. completes The Women’s Community garage
Miron Construction Co., Inc. recently completed construction of a much-needed garage for The Women’s Community Inc., the second project the firm has constructed for the non-profit organization that serves victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault.
The project consists of a 24×30 garage facility and matches the façade of the existing Community Center, previously built by Miron. The Women’s Community staff will use the garage space to store maintenance equipment as well as overflow donations they receive.
“I continue to be impressed with the level of professional response and genuine support the Miron team has given to The Women’s Community,” said Jane E. Graham Jennings, executive director of The Women’s Community, Inc. “When our board and I discussed needing a garage, we thought the project would be too small for Miron to deal with. When I heard Miron would like to donate the design and build of the garage, tears of appreciation filled my eyes. As a small non-profit, we rely on donations and community support and Miron has continued to step up to the plate to help us in any way they can. In the midst of busy schedules, they are still running this volunteer project and building us a garage. Words cannot fully express my sincere appreciation!”
Other companies who donated their time and labor include: ConsTrucks, Systems Technologies, County Materials, Block Iron, Omni Glass & Paint, and Overhead Door Co. of Wausau.
