Miron Construction Co., Inc. was recently awarded two 2022 BUILD Wisconsin awards from the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Wisconsin. Miron has been awarded 64 BUILD Wisconsin awards since the program’s inception in 2003.

Miron Construction was honored in the General Contractor – Commercial New Construction – Project Size Greater than $50 Million category for the Resch Expo project and General Contractor – Industrial New Construction and Renovation Greater than $30 Million category for the Green Bay Packaging New Recycled Paper Mill.

The Resch Expo
The Resch Expo consists of a new 125,000-square-foot exhibition hall, as well as 50,000 square feet of pre-function space and 28,000 square feet of storage/support space connected to the existing Resch Center Arena. The scope includes new office space for PMI Entertainment and a 5,000-square-foot serving kitchen. The facility has six large meeting/flex rooms and an outside party deck with a large expanded plaza area for outdoor events.

Green Bay Packaging New Recycled Paper Mill
The new greenfield manufacturing facility is part of a $500+ million expenditure to Green Bay Packaging’s operations in Green Bay. It features a 100 percent recycled paper machine and is designed to significantly increase the company’s capacity. The facility replaces an existing operation built in 1948 and is the first paper mill to be built in Wisconsin in more than 35 years.

Entries are judged on sustainable practices, unusual design and craftsmanship, innovation in construction techniques or materials, and meeting difficult challenges. The BUILD Wisconsin awards stand as a testament to the skill, integrity, hard work, ingenuity, and commitment invested into each construction project.
