Miron Construction Co., Inc. is proud to announce that Amy Pitcher, industrial project manager, has been named to The Daily Reporter’s 2023 Women in Construction list. This list is comprised of the most successful women working within the Wisconsin construction community. With this list, The Daily Reporter recognizes those who, by achieving success, have also paved the way for other women in construction.

Since 2017, Amy has been Miron’s resident hydropower expert, with her main role overseeing mechanical maintenance and installation work with hydroelectric dam projects. Amy is well known in the hydropower industry, specifically due to her industry expertise in hydroelectric-type components and turbines, which is one of her biggest strengths and what sets her apart from other industry professionals.

“While construction is already a male-dominated industry, Amy’s undertakings are more unique than just being a woman in this business,” said Guy Kiser, senior vice president of industrial operations. “She’s carved out a space in an even more specific, small niche market of construction with a mostly male workforce – and has had solid success.”

Women on this list have achieved excellence in their respective fields, influenced other women to pursue construction careers, opened doors for women in a variety of job settings that historically were closed to them, and served their profession or community in a manner that has benefited the construction industry.
