Miron Construction Co., Inc. is proud to announce that Melissa Kissinger, Laura Smith, and Theresa Lehman have been named to Constructech magazine’s 2021 Women in Construction list. The Women in Construction list is comprised of the most successful women working within the construction community who are taking advantage of technology and who represent some of the largest, most innovative construction companies in the country.
Melissa Kissinger, controller
Melissa serves as part of Miron’s leadership team, giving her the opportunity to generate new technology initiatives and pathways for the company. She served as an instrumental role in one of Miron’s management software’s largest conversion upgrade, while ensuring her normal duties as controller were fulfilled.
Laura Smith, senior virtual construction lead, preconstruction
Laura’s involvement with projects begins early on, resulting in her having a huge influence on every project she works on, and her team follows the path she chooses. Her knowledge of site logistics planning, use of preconstruction software, and 4D animation skills helps create consistency and better workflow for her team.
Theresa Lehman, director of sustainability
Theresa inspires sustainability throughout Miron’s culture. In her role, she integrates green practices into business practices and construction operations, leads a sustainable education program, and serves as the project administrator for projects seeking green building certifications. All in all, Theresa’s projects and work are highly regarded.
The women on this list have gone above and beyond to transform work on the job site and in the office through the use of technology. This year’s list brings together a diverse group of women who are breaking ground on new processes to improve productivity and efficiency on the job site, while opening doors for more women entering the space.
