Payroll Manager of the Year – Heather Magolski

Heather Magolski is often seen as Miron’s “Payroll Guru” due to her fast knowledge of the company’s extraordinarily complex payroll process. Heather started employment at Miron right after high school and has worked her way up, now serving as payroll manager. During her growth, Heather carved out roles that strengthened the department and ensured each team member became an expert in their area of payroll. As the leader of payroll, Heather’s role requires a high level of accuracy, but that doesn’t stop her from being a present and compassionate mentor to her team. She is very in-tune with her team members and has cultivated an atmosphere of mutual care and respect where communication flows, knowledge is shared, and work happens collaboratively.

Unsung Hero of the Year – Julie McCarthy

Julie McCarthy exemplifies excellence, leadership, and integrity in every aspect of her work. Leading a diverse team, she plays a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and accountability of complex projects. Her deep knowledge, attention to detail, and unwavering professionalism have earned her the respect of colleagues across all levels. In addition to her commitment to her work, Julie is a dedicated friend, team member, and community member. Her friends and teammates refer to her as a selfless person who effortlessly loves and supports those around her. She is also a Big as part of Miron’s inaugural year of Big Brother Big Sisters Workplace mentoring. Julie illustrates outstanding leadership and mentorship through both her professional demeanor and her unwavering support for those around her.

Women on this list have achieved excellence in their respective fields, have influenced other women to pursue construction careers, have opened doors for women in a variety of job settings that historically were closed to them, and have served their profession or community in a manner that has benefited the construction industry.
