Project Overview

Two schools were the primary focus of major transformation, and six other schools underwent major maintenance improvements in this district-wide facilities program following a $98M referendum.

  • Bay View Middle School, which was originally designed as a high school, received renovations to provide learning spaces that support the middle school house concept, incorporating modern learning environments into a traditional environment, and right-sizing of core spaces such as the commons and gym by adding a physical education addition.
  • Forest Glen Elementary School was renovated to incorporate skylights for natural daylight and provide physical and visual connections from learning to collaboration spaces. A physical education addition allowed the right-sizing of core spaces such as the commons and gym.
