Project Overview
The Lowe Park Arts & Environmental Center in Marion, Iowa, involves a collaboration between the City of Marion, Iowa and Trees Forever, a non-profit organization, in the development of a new ecologically based park and facility in Marion, Iowa. This project has been awarded “Silver” Level certification as it incorporates green building elements and sustainable design features. The 16,800 square-foot project consists of meeting spaces, art and environment studio and gallery spaces, offices for staff and volunteers for Trees Forever, and site development that includes gardens, demonstrational plots, and prairie reconstruction.
