Project Overview
Although the iconic stadium has served the Menasha community well since 1964, some repairs and upgrades were necessary. The facility was in need of general stadium infrastructure repairs, ADA compliance measures, safety enhancements, and updates and expansions to the restroom facilities. Renovated locker rooms add needed space for multiple growing programs, athletic trainers, game officials, and team meetings.
The natural turf field at Calder Stadium was replaced with synthetic turf, resulting in a better quality surface year-round that requires less maintenance, and provides a playing surface shown to reduce the frequency and severity of injuries to athletes. The adjacent Bayer soccer field will remain natural turf, but has been crowned and equipped with proper irrigation.
The updates allow the facility to be used year-round by football, soccer, track and field, baseball, softball and golf, and position the District to attract WIAA playoff games, regional track meets, and events such as marching band competitions.
