Project Overview

The new two-story building in UWM’s Wauwatosa Innovation Park includes state-of-the-art laboratory facilities for use by a wide variety of researchers and entrepreneurs who want to leverage the technology present in nearby institutions such as the Milwaukee County Medical Complex, Children’s Hospital, and the Medical College of Wisconsin. The building also has designated laboratories for researchers working on collaborative projects with other academic institutions or private companies.

The UWM Innovation Accelerator is the cornerstone building in UWM’s Innovation Park. Conceived by the City of Wauwatosa and the UWM Real Estate Foundation and funded by a grant by the Economic Development Administration, Innovation Park was established as a place where business and industry meets academic research to launch intellectual property for the new century.
