Miron Construction begins boiler and utility upgrades to Wisconsin Veterans Home at King

Miron Construction Co., Inc. is partnering with Berners-Schober Associates, Inc. to make repairs and replacements at Wisconsin Veterans Home at King in King, Wisconsin. The $3.5 million project began in August 2016 and is scheduled to be complete in September 2017.

Miron will renovate approximately 19,000 square feet of King’s maintenance facility, including upgrades on two boilers and replacement of a third. A new exterior 1,000-kW emergency generator will be installed in place of the existing generator and electrical distribution equipment will also be replaced. In addition, Miron’s work includes the construction of a new control room and demolition of the coal bunkers on the main floor to create new electrical rooms.
