Change requires making inclusion a daily practice.
Authenticity, grace, listening, slowing down, and being open to learning new ways of seeing and being in the world are all aspects of this practice.

CULTURE OF CARE
IMPACT CHAMPION
Miron believes that every individual has the right to a work environment that is free from harassment, hazing, and bullying. We will take action to ensure every employee at our company has the opportunity to reach their full potential by building a culture that is diverse, safe, welcoming, and inclusive.
By taking the Culture of Care pledge, Miron is committing to the following principles:
- COMMIT to hire and pay based on skill and experience regardless of ability, age, ethnicity, gender identity, nationality, race, religion, sex, or sexual orientation.
- ATTRACT prospective employees by creating inclusive workplaces that are free from harassment, hazing, and bullying.
- RETAIN high-performing employees by identifying and removing barriers to advancement.
- EMPOWER every employee to promote a culture of diversity and inclusion.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
WOMEN BUILD
We asked members of the Women’s Network to dig deep and consider volunteering for the Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity 2022 Women Build. Even though this initiative was new to many and the majority of the volunteers had little construction experience, 25 Miron women rallied together and volunteered over the course of four days to help build a house for Shaunna and her son, Keltin.
Throughout the build days, Miron women completed a wide range of work, forever leaving their mark on the home. They constructed stairs, installed trim, and hung siding, sheet rock, and cabinets.
Soon after the project was completed, Shaunna and Keltin received the keys in time to celebrate their first Christmas in their new home.

BUILD LIKE A GIRL
While women comprise a mere 10.9% of the construction industry (with only a staggering 1% of laborers in the field being women), an evolving workforce equates to endless job opportunities and strong salaries for skilled craftspeople.
As a way to educate and build female interest in the construction industry, Miron hosts a FREE, annual event for local 7th through 10th grade female students. This event – “Build Like a Girl” – offers attendees a full day of hands-on experiences as well as an in-depth look at opportunities within the construction industry.
