Project Overview

This addition consisted of:

  • Demolition of existing loading docks, site preparation, installation of new underground utilities, and site finishing.
  • Addition of over 23,000 square feet of new ground level manufacturing space to receive existing packaging equipment and a new palletizing system.
  • Addition of over 15,000 square feet of new second floor product storage/staging space to receive palletized product for handling with a new LGV (i.e., laser guided vehicle) pallet handling system.

Miron functioned as the General Contractor for the building addition including all demolition, site work, cast-in-place concrete, masonry, structural steel erection, roofing, insulated metal wall panel installation, general carpentry, and field finish painting. The client opted to contract directly with an electrical, mechanical, and fire protection contractor. In order to coordinate this work with building construction activities, Miron offered to manage and coordinate these activities as a service to the client.

Miron Industrial Services provided all equipment relocation and installation for both new and existing plant equipment.
