Project Overview
This new 133,000-square-foot, -10F freezer space was built to meet Lakeside Foods’ current needs as well as future growth opportunities. The project resulted in a financial benefit to Lakeside through decreased trucking and freight costs as well as eliminating third-party storage costs. Project challenges included working around wetlands and keeping the adjacent production facility operational. In addition to the new freezer space for tote storage and 10,000 racked pallet spaces, the project included new loading docks, logistics office space, and a complete ammonia refrigeration system, office, and break room.
